Job Description

Purpose

The role of a Recruitment Supervisor is to oversee the recruitment team and hiring process of new employees at ESG. It is their responsibility to ensure that the recruitment process is efficient and effective, resulting in the hiring of the best candidates for each job opening. The Recruiting Supervisor will be responsible for the full recruiting life-cycle. They will work closely with department managers to understand their hiring needs and develop job descriptions for each position. The Recruiting Supervisor will also be responsible for sourcing potential candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating hiring decisions with the hiring team. They will be responsible for ensuring that all hiring procedures comply with company policies and legal requirements.

Functions

  • Developing and implementing recruitment strategies to meet organizational needs
  • Developing job descriptions and posting job openings on various job boards and social media sites
  • Sourcing potential candidates through various channels, including job boards, social media, referrals, and recruiting events
  • Screening resumes and conducting initial interviews to determine candidate suitability
  • Coordinating and conducting interviews with hiring managers and team members
  • Conducting reference and background checks on potential candidates
  • Extending job offers and negotiating employment terms
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and equal employment opportunity guidelines

Supervisory Responsibilities

Will be responsible for the supervision of the recruiting team.

Reporting Relationship

This position will report to the Human Resources Manager

Job Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources (HR), Business Administration, or a related field, plus ten (10) years’ experience as a Recruiting Supervisor required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Three (3) years’ experience in shipbuilding preferred.

REQUIRED

  • 5-10 years exempt and non-exempt recruiting experience in full life-cycle environment, including management of multiple high-volume roles simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems
  • Strong knowledge utilizing job boards, social media, and college sites for recruitment
  • Pre-screening skills
  • Professionalism, organization, and project management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Working Conditions

This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. 

  • Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night
  • Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the work place
  • Work surface is stable (flat)
